The Bates Numbers are like sticky notes attached to documents. When there are too many pages in documents, you can use it to mark what you need in terms of pages, thus creating a retrieval system. The biggest advantage of this retrieval system is the ability to mark content that is scattered across multiple documents. Bates Numbers are often used in the legal, medical, and business fields to place identifiers such as identification codes, dates, or times in images or documents.
