When you search for text in PDF, you will have many difficulties in finding the word or phrase you want, and sometimes it may be very frustrating or even time-taking. Here, PDF Reader Pro Mac can make your search process easy and concrete by offering an easy-to-use interface and powerful search options.There are three different methods in PDF Reader Pro Mac to search for text in a PDF file.
Method 1:
1. Open a PDF file with PDF Reader Pro Mac;
2. Click the search box on the right side of the toolbar -> type the word or phrase you are looking for -> click Enter on your keyboard, then the result list will appear in the search side panel according to the page order;
3. In the search side panel, click to select the desired word or phrase and jump to the page where the selected content is located.
Note:
Click the Search in the search box, you can choose Ignore Case, Clear Search History, or see search history in the drop-down box.
Method 2:
1. Open a PDF file with PDF Reader Pro Mac;
2. There are two ways to add desired text in the search box under the toolbar;
- Click Edit on the main menu -> choose Find -> select Find... -> add desired text in the pop-up search box;
- Press command + F -> add desired text in the pop-up search box.
3. There are three ways to look through keyword in the file.
- Click ;
- Tap Enter on your keyboard;
- Click Show All and then the result list will appear in the search side panel according to the page order.
Note:
Click Search in the search box, you can choose Ignore Case, Clear Search History or see search history in the drop-down box.
Method 3:
1. Open a PDF file with PDF Reader Pro Mac;
2. There are two ways to add desired text in the search side panel;
- Click Edit on the main menu -> choose Find -> select Search PDF;
- Click Search in the search side panel -> add desired text, and the result list will appear in the search side panel according to the page order.
3. In the search side panel, click with the mouse to select the desired word or phrase, which will be highlighted in the document.
Notes:
Click Search in the search box can choose Ignore Case or Whole Words Only.
- Ignore Case: If you select this option, the search results will be case-sensitive.
- Whole Words Only: For example, you are looking for the word "and", by ticking the function "and" as a separate word will be selected, and by not ticking the function, "and" as a part of many other words such as "land" or "bandage" word will be selected.
Tips:
1. In the search side panel, position the search result, then the relevant content of the results in the document will appear.
2. In the upper right corner of the search side panel, shows the content of the desire word, shows the frequency of the desire word.
