In daily work, constantly revising PDF documents could make you feel tedious, especially when comparing the new version with the older one for differences. PDF Reader Pro Mac can help you compare text using Side-by-Side View and images using Compared by File Overlay.
Compare Files by Side-by-Side View:
1. Open old PDF document with PDF Reader Pro Mac;
2. Click Editor on the toolbar -> Click Compare on the sub toolbar -> Tab Side-by-Side View;
3. Import your new PDF file, set Page Range, and choose Compare text or Compare image, or both of them -> Click Compare;
Tips: The changes will be marked by highlight bars. You can customize the color of the highlights by clicking Settings.
4. You will notice the differences highlighted with colors. Save as Old Document or New Document or Merge into a New File.
Tips:
Save as an Old Document: Export the old file and mark the difference between the old and new files;
Save as a New Document: Export the new file and mark the difference between the old and new files;
Save as Another New Document: The resulting pages of two PDFs will be cross-exported into a new PDF document.
Compare Files by File Overlay:
1. Open old PDF document with PDF Reader Pro Mac;
2. Click Editor on the toolbar -> Click Compare on the sub toolbar -> Tab Compare by File Overlay;
3. Import your new PDF file, set Page Range;
Tips: You can adjust the opacity, stroke color, and blend mode to improve the contrast effects through Settings
4. The differences will overlap together with different colors. Tab Save to export the compare result.
You could also compare PDFs through Compare Files of Advanced Editing Tools on the home page, and import your old and new PDFs. Then get the comparison result after adjusting settings.
